About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I said a hip, a hop, a hip to the hippie to the hip hip hop....
ABOUT ME
Katy was born on the tundra in outer Mongolia to a doctor's daughter and a minotaur in 1936, but took 20 years to come out of the cryogenic pod. Educated in Burkina Faso, she and her mother escaped the brutal regime of Ali Omar Kshasa in the 60s by rowing a dinghy across several landlocked countries and then walking on water, a feat never since repeated. Many have tried, but always get stuck in Chad. Amateurs.
She calls Australia home, and even managed to belt that out at karaoke in a little town in South Korea that is the ginseng capital of the world. The villagers now have a greater appreciation of the American Idol open auditions as a showcase for vocal talent, though they assure her this is merely a coincidence.
PHILOSOPHY
Do your best [insert force that you believe in] will take care of the rest.
For things to change, I must change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Quarter the oranges.
I host and maintain my own surfing technique on my two lethal couches of danger. And doom. The moment you lie down, you simply can't get up. They will take you into their creamy arms, guide you over the undulating waves of comfort and rock you to sleep until you wake up at 2am in a puddle of your own drool. According to Teen People, my couches were voted 'Most Enveloping', 'Most Cuddly' and 'Most Nap-friendly'. Three consecutive years. Then they were pipped by a damn inflatable pool lounge in 2008. Rigged!
There is also a mattress. If you're into that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Popped the CS cherry in New York, 2008. That was quite a cleanup job - had to get on my knees with a toothbrush and everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went out in Perth for a whole TWO nights in-a-row and DIDN'T run into anyone that my companion also knew in a 6-degrees of separation kind of way...
On broader horizons, the Galapagos Islands are phenomenal. And I have visited the Hermit Kingdom...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a member of Sukyo Mahikari, a worldwide, non-denominational spiritual organisation. I practise True Light, which is a form of spiritual energy that dissipates negativity. It works through addressing the spiritual origins of what we see and experience physically. Absolutely anyone can receive this energy - no cost, no preaching, no obligations. If you are interested, I would love to share this with you. If you're not, no worries - I can also teach the 7 times table. Just don't ask me to do the 9; it would embarrass us both.
