About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live life with great joy

ABOUT ME

I like people more than I like places. The only thing better than traveling to some random place in the world is making friends in that random place. I am always up for an adventure, but I feel like I don't take enough, so I need more adventurous people in my life to just tell me when and where to show up somewhere and enjoy random trips.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's not as hard as we make it out to be. Forgive and forget, love and respect, and never not finish your beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host anyone at this point, but I'd love to meet people and show them around my city! I'm also up for meeting with people while I'm out traveling and making new friends and finding people to share awesome experiences with!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some awesome experiences both in Brussels and in Amsterdam with two awesome people! It has been a fun and rewarding experience getting to learn about other people's cultures and I really would love to give back as soon as I'm home!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Ray Lamontagne, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses new album is amazing, Jonny Lang, BB King, Nickle Creek. Amazing guitar players like Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour.

Books: Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres. Anything that can take historical roots and use them to make an excellent story I will consider to be a good book. Authors like David L. Robins who wrote War of the Rats, or The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury (great book, but they translated it too literally into the tv movie so it was really long and drawn out, plus they changed the ending to not piss off the church which I thought was really stupid). Also on my list out of the genre would be Catcher in the Rye, the Great Gatsby, Hunger by Knut Hamsun

Movies: I go to movies to be entertained, so as long as it does that I'm ok with it. I loved the first Boondock saint's movie, Into the Wild was good one, but I think that should be one of every couch surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed a boat off the coast of New Zealand, went to Easter Mass in Rome.
