ABOUT ME I am an optimist at heart that lives in the oh so amazing town of Eugene, OR. I spend much of my time these days workin outdoors, reading, cooking, raising my son and exploring new places. I love the outdoors and I've spent many years working on farms and ranches, hiking, camping and exploring. There's nothing like walking barefoot through the woods. I am also an avid equestrian and have been riding since I was a wee lass, I have stories upon stories about horses. I live with my boyfriend, my son and our cute lil pup Vienna. We have lived here for quite some time (Jesse his whole life) and know some really incredible spots for food, adventure and entertainment. We appreciate those who are willing and able to be flexible with our fluid schedules. Also, I am not the type that cares if you copy and paste. I am not going to discriminate anyone for asking the same questions of many different hosts. You do what you need to do. Although I like to hear who you are and why you chose me for a possible host, there's time for that later. Also, I'm a CS participant because I love to share my knowledge of my home and increase my knowledge of the world around me and make some great friends on the way, and in order to travel, some folks need low cost lodging. I recognize this as a valid reason for Couchsurfing as well. Just had to put that out there :)

PHILOSOPHY To live life to the fullest while finding inner peace and to keep the love flowing in order to find compassion for all.

PS - I DO NOT SUPPORT TRUMP. I am thoroughly against him and are doing all we can for impeachment. Just had to mention it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have a couch and try and lend to all those in need, and if I can't I generally try and find anyone in need a place to stay. We love meeting folks with different ideas, priorities and cultural backgrounds.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Have surfed, hosted and shared the word and will continue as long as I am able :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Showered in a waterfall in West Virginia Monongahela national forest on moss covered rocks that acted as a perfect bench, bed or steps. One of the most beautiful things I have seen/done. Many others, but this one was simple and sweet.

Also went on a ride outside of Prineville, OR for Mother's Day and was alone with my horse at the top a mountain and for one brief yet magical moment, there was no trace to be seen, in any direction of human settlements. It was quite surreal. I could imagine myself to be in any time or place. I will never forget it.

Also, in Ireland that magical castle, that was hidden in plain view. It was incredible. It's history came alive under my bare feet.

Walking back along the beach from a traditional Maori welcome for the Lions rugby team. The ceremony was incredible and the contrast of the quiet stroll home, with just the sound of water on seashells was beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning from people who have banks of wisdom and experience from all walks of life. I also like my son to learn how to meet, interact with and learn from new people. I have been given such wonderful stories and ideas that were life changing from my couch surfers, moments that I will never forget and that changed my perspective permanently. I am learning to play the banjo and will welcome anyone who can add to my musical education :).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendly conversation about anything and everything. We can adventure in the area on our own, or we welcome any time our hosts can spend showing us around. I can cook, I love dogs and I don't mind staying in or going out. I’m not a heavy drinker, but I do appreciate a good beer or fine whisky. We’re clean, flexible and self-sufficient.
