ABOUT ME

Hmmm well, what can I say?
I have decided to live in Istanbul for awhile...
I am a typical Sagittarius.
Bit of a dork. Bit of a nerd.
I try to live life to the fullest. Strong urge to explore, strongly idealistic nature. I am a free-spirited, open minded person with a generous attitude towards life.
Ambitious, loyal and kind. I'm usually pretty straightforward and I don't ever mean to be rude, but I am bluntly honest so sometimes it comes across that way...
I can be unpredictable half of the time, studious one day and crazy-wild the next.

I am generally a leader, not a follower, but I tend to go with the flow. I try not to let my own fears and self consciousness stand in my way of doing what I want to do.

I am a great listener and always there for my friends and you will find I will treat you the way you treat me.

I love hanging with the guys and playing video games, baseball, kickball, volleyball or just going on adventures and walks outside.
I love, love sushi. I pretty much will never turn down sushi...haha

I love fast cars, but particularly old muscle cars built tough. I love the smell of the race track and going to see the trailer races back home. I'm pretty sure it's because I am slightly a redneck at heart ;) Thanks dad.

I'm bad with history and dates, but I love to learn things and see places. Especially old historical places with a lot of character that just makes you wonder what happened there hundreds of years ago.

I might be scared, but I'm brave. I don't let my fears stop me. I can do anything! Or I will die trying.

Live life to the fullest. You only live once. Theres so much to see and so little time.

Sometimes I host, sometimes I surf. Sometimes I even go to CS events. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am fairly new to couchsurfing. Doing some hosting and events. I went to my first CS event, The Istanbul Boat Party (6.16.2012) and loved it!

Interests

I really have an interest in anything and everything.
Reading, writing, dancing, music (I have a guitar back home, but I wasn't very good at self teaching too much), art (again, any kind of art. I love looking at different graffiti) and of course photography :)

I love being outside and enjoying nice weather. It can be by swimming or I love having picnics and cookouts with drinks and friends.

Books: I am currently reading "The Atlantis Blueprint" and before that Paulo Coelho's "Veronika Decides to Die." I also liked; A Great and Terrible Beauty trilogy, Harry Potter series, Angus Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging series, The Walking Dead Novels...I have about 4 bookcases full of books and I'm not about to list them all haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some people would say saving a life is an amazing thing to do, but really...wouldn't you just do the natural thing? You don't think you just react and trust your gut. Thats all I did and it allowed a man a little more time on this earth and I will never forget him.

28.04.2011 My first plane ride was to Istanbul summer of 2011 and here I am again this summer (2012). I am finally getting out there and seeing the world one step at a time and meeting awesome new people.

28.06.2012 I also spent some time in Greece this summer and met some amazing people I hope to see again! My dream is to come back to Thassos Island when I'm not working to really enjoy the sites. The food and the views are amazing! <3

28.08.2014 First domestic flight to Seattle Washington to visit my friend Emily :)

Every day life brings a new adventure and I'm just along for the ride.

Teach, Learn, Share

There are many things I wish to learn. Guitar, chess, scuba diving, sky diving, surf, different types of dance, to drive a motorcycle, drive a race car, the workings under the hood of a car, home remedies, graffiti, my nikon camera, learning to accept myself and be more positive! I could go on, but these are just some things that I can think of right now :-P

Oh, and I want to learn how to whistle REALLY loud haha

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you've got left.
