About Me

CURRENT MISSION

read all the books I've got for Christmas...

ABOUT ME

I couldn't imagine life without partying or just spending a few days being lazy and watching silly youtube clips/southpark-episodes. I would describe myself as a very serious person, but I don't show it! I like silly jokes, being goofy and foolin' around. When people meet me for the first time they normally have to get used to my irony and sarcasm; I'd say, I'm not complicated and interested in many things.
I like meeting new people and hearing their story and I am allways open to find new friends.
I grew up on a little farm near the Alps, but I left my village and have been living in Bonn for 6 jears. Last year I was studying in Spain (Valencia).
I had such a great time there... but when I came back to Bonn I realized that I feel verry comfortable in Bonn as well, it's a really good city to life/visit.

PHILOSOPHY

Do I have a personal philosophy?
Don't take yourselve too serious

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm joinig regularly a lots of CS events here in Bonn, I recomend you to have a look at the forum, be it a hiking tour, a party or a jam-session, the CS-comunity here in Bonn is quite good!
When I was living in Spain I often went to the weekly meeting of the language exchange group, it was really a nice oportunity to get to know people in a new city!

In 2008 I spent a real great week in Dublin thanks to the CS-comunity there, who had organized so many things!
And in 2009 I was hosted in London, also a good experience!
To be continued!

Interests

Making/listening to music.
I play the clarinet, saxophone and (a bit) the guitar. And I like singing, although I'm not the best singer on earth, or maybe I am?... there are different opinions about my singing skills... but I really like Singstar (Playstation)
Films/TV: Simpsons, Family Guy, Southpark, 24, etc.
Having fun in general. Meeting friends, partying...
playing clarinet, running, hiking, and the freaky part of me likes to do origami...
I like languages, for some reason I consider it very interesting talking about different languages and their similarities, differences and all that stuff.

In general: tryin' to walk trough life with open ears and eyes...

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC! Without any doubt my passion!
I am member of the orchestra (clarinet) of my university, where we play more "classic" music (I mean Beethoven, Mozart, etc.) as well as "modern" pieces (range from Grieg to Shostakovich).
Besides the "orchestra kind of music" of course there are so many other genres that I like, I don't know where to start my list... In general I can say I love music you can dance/sing to; pop, 80's, Green Day, Billy Talent and a bit of House-Music, Daft Punk etc. etc.

My favorite films are: American beauty, Lord of the Rings, Golden Eye, 5th Element, X-men, Scoop, Sophie Scholl - die letzten Tage (the final days), das Leben der Anderen (the Lifes of Others), The Ring, and all really scarry movies. Although I have to admit, I get very anxious while watching them...

Besides that I'm a B I G F A N of the Simpsons, Southpark and especially FAMILY GUY... I like black humor...

Books: a bit of fantasy literature: Lord of the Rings (like 1.500.000.000 people) , Nochnoi Dozor (Night Watch)... but I'm not a big reader...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I know is music.
I met so many peole who enjoy music as well as I do, I think it's a very good way to connect with others, even if you come from a complete different background

Arturo Márquez - Danzón Nº 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vwZAkfLKK8

it's 10 Minutes long, but take the time to listen, imho it's a real masterpiece

Teach, Learn, Share

I like talking German with people learning this language. I think that I'm quite patient when it comes to that.
I also like cooking together.
