About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Probably same as everyone else. Meet new, cool, awesome people who can teach me stuff about the world, about life, and anything else!
ABOUT ME
One of the most exciting things for me is introducing other people to things that I love. For example, I love watching movies Ive already seen with friends who have never seen it before, I love lending out books that I have read and loved. basically, I love sharing the jewels of life with interesting people. Also, Im kindof tall with curly hair and green eyes. Yup.
PHILOSOPHY
I figured it out! Happiness! Take every cliche youve ever heard and think about why it's a cliche. Cliches are usually deep, and even though they sound cheezy, they are usually pretty true, and when you realize that, you feel golden, and then stupid all at the same time. But when I realized today, while biking home, that yeah, if you're happy, you're living life to the fullest, thats all its about. Plan for the future only if you KNOW itll make you happy. Otherwise, go ahead and spend money on beautiful experiences like traveling!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ive lived a bit around the world. I was an aupair in Italy one summer, and I studied abroad in Argentina in 2005, and both of those times I lived with families. Staying with a family and not alone, is the best way to get in on the culture.
Interests
I really love learning new languages and cultures. I started out only speaking English until I was in college. Then, through study and travel, I picked up a bunch more.
I've played violin since I was 6 years old. When I was in Japan, I got really involved in the Brazilian culture there (go figure there are Brazilians in Japan)! and I often performed with Brazilian musicians in bars and restaurants.
Ive got many other interests; they all circle around being creative and loving life!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Donnie Darko, Amilie, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotlessmind, L'Auberge Espanol...I think you get the point
Books: There are tons of amazing books, but my recent favorites are: One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and The Unbarable Lightness of Being. Tried to read Shogun and hated it... no passion, no poetry
Music: Indie rock, Latin, Classical, Jazz...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a volcano in Chile, touched the Western Wall in Jerusalem, learned near-fluent Spanish in a few months, ate street food in Vietnam, went to a buddhist service at 5am in Tokyo....
Teach, Learn, Share
I dont want to get long winded, so Ill just list some stuff. Sounds cliche (but that's ok, as I already explained):
There are a few devices used for thinking;
Head, Heart, Instinct, Gut.
Always go with your gut. Cant stress that enough.
Ive got many insights to share about my travels. Ive observed many different cultures, and thought and thought and thought about my experiences. Id love to sit and chat and learn and share all of these things.
