About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience life in France and beyond to the fullest (on a shoestring budget)
ABOUT ME
Hey folks, I'm a 23 year old Canadian who is currently living in Oloron-Ste. Marie, France to teach english in a lycée. I'm a relaxed and easy going kind of guy, not really much of a party person but I like to have a beer and hang out. I can speak English, French and Spanish although I definitely need to improve my Spanish.
I love music, I regularly play guitar and sing in a band in Canada so if you would like me to provide some music I would be happy to oblige you.
As for personality, it's incredibly tough to describe how you live and function in a few lines and I'd rather not write a novel here. I'm extremely aware of my surroundings and can pick up on what people are thinking and feeling very accurately, I can be honest to a fault but I really just want to have a good time and contribute to others having a good time. All while avoiding massive godzilla related catastrophes, because life's like that.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live, life's too short to be angry. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. (cliché I know but ain't nothin' wrong with that)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I'm hoping to participate by being a personable sort of guy and showing people a little bit of what life is like on my corner of our cozy little planet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some really cool people via couchsurfing and I'd like to continue that trend.
Interests
Anything and everything to do with music, I love to listen to it, I love to play it I love to create it. I'm also a bit of a language nerd and love to use the three languages I can speak. Canadian history is also a big interest of mine, although history in general is fascinating to me. Anything to do with the arts and culture as well, obviously very ambiguous but it's not something I get exposed to enough in my day to day life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am the father to an amazing little girl. After going my whole life with the idea of never being a father she has totally changed my outlook on a lot of things.
After growing up in a small isolated town with very few prospects for the future I find myself currently in a foreign country teaching kids english. Ain't life crazy?
Each day that I do something I wasn't expecting is an amazing day for me. Assuming that thing isn't getting robbed or stabbed etc. etc. In summary just rolling with the punches.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to teach people about life in Canada, I'm from a small, isolated town in the north. I would be happy to teach anything about English and also guitar if someone so desired. Anything that I know I'm willing to do my best to pass on, so just ask and I'll see what I can manage.
