I am a bright, fun-loving, laid-back person with lots of interests. You can't contain me!

PHILOSOPHY

Balance. I try to cultivate patience, to love something about everything, to give all things a chance, to generally live in healthy communion with things and people towards everyone's best interest.

I had a sign hanging in my room for a long time saying "All things are fluid," because I think it wise to embrace constant change (flowing of time, events), and to act/react in just the way fluid does to a tossed stone; it ripples only as much as is appropriate for the size of the stone and no more.

Stuff like that. I also try to have fun all the time. And laugh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I finally did it once and had a great experience staying on a houseboat in Portland!
Other Internet-driven community experience though: I have Craigslist rideshared (driving or riding) probably 25 times. All good experiences. Awesome people every time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally love art and keeping tabs on what artists create what.

When I say I like all genres of music, I actually do. I can suggest music from old-time Americana, to the best Sun Ra albums, minimalist classical composers and techno, booty bass, trap shit, drone, New Age, my favorite Dead shows, etc. Music is mah thang.

I love movies also, from stoner comedies to B-horror movies to pure imagery.

I like Kurt Vonnegut, Kerouac, Nabokov, McCarthy, Asimov, and more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about music/music theory, lots about physics, I know how to crochet and macrame, I can cook...

Definitely have academic knowledge: I've done a lot of work as an English, math, SAT, physics, organizational skills tutor.
