About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Live, Learn, and Love!

ABOUT ME

After years of updating this section, I have still not really figured out what to say here. I'm a nice, friendly, easy-going guy who, like everybody else in the world, feels the need to describe themselves in these words. Let's not forget open-minded! I have no definition, no constant, and nothing that I could really say "about me." I've grown tired of trying to summarize my entire personality in a paragraph. Just read my references. Cheers!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy, hmm...I can talk about this for hours. It is kind of hard to explain my philosophy because it is constantly changing as I learn new things. However, I can say that I believe that we should live our lives as if each day was our last. There are 6 billion and some odd number of people, over 200 countries, seven continents, and hundreds of thousands of square miles of land on this planet, and we are given the opportunity to explore it in a single lifetime. Why won't we? With so much that is going on, why do we waste our time on such trivial things, as racism, homophobia, sexism, war, genocide, and many of the other ridiculous things we occupy our minds and thoughts with? We should be trying to reach a higher state of being as a whole. We should be embracing one another with love and respect, not separating ourselves because of our slight differences and variations. All we need is love!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I do not yet have a place of my own, I would like to host people once I do. In the meantime I hope to contribute to the project by couch surfing and connecting with people I have not yet had the pleasure to meet. Through conversations, and understanding, I would like to do my part in spreading the love, and bridging the connections between individuals, myself and my friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Seattle for a week. I had a great host, and an even better time. Other that my only experience is in having my friends sleep on my couch from time to time. Some of whom are CSers some of whom are not. Either way they have surfed my couch. Mahalo!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very eclectic taste in music. I probably listen to rock the most, but I have a special place in my heart for Arabic like Nancy Ajram, and Amr Diab, I also like alternative, and most other types of music. My taste in movies is far spanning, and extensive. To name a few: Requiem for a Dream, A Clockwork Orange, Some Like It Hot, It Happened One Night, Pan's Labyrinth, The Departed, Babel, Amorres Perros, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol.1, Everything Is Illuminated, La Vita E Bella, Promises, Paradise Now, Hero, Battle Royale, Just Visiting, Galaxy Quest, The Godfather, Little Children, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, Capote, Crash, Walk the Line, Hustle and Flow, A History of Violence, TransAmerica, The Aviator, Saving Private Ryan, Hotel Rwanda, Million Dollar Baby, Maria Full of Grace, Whale Rider, Thirteen, Gangs of New York, Modern Times, Fargo, Cinema Paradiso, Reservoir Dogs, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Thin Red Line, Hairspray, Across The Universe, The Bubble, Walk On Water, Last Holiday, Transformers, The Dark Knight, Romeo and Juliet, Titanic, Roman Holiday, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Austin Powers, Donnie Darko, Reprise, Mio Fratello e Un Figlio Unico, Ironman, Goodfellas, The Dreamers, Southland Tales, In Bruge, and many, many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have not done many amazing things in my life, but I would like to start. Maybe the most amazing being a random drive up the 101, and stopping at every beach between LA and San Francisco. Not everyone, but quite a few. It was just amazing to have the freedom to stop and look at whatever I wanted to see. To do things at my own pace, and not keep with a schedule, or even a destination. I felt free!

Teach, Learn, Share

I find myself to be someone who has a lot more to learn than to teach. I guess I have a decent talent at writing and storytelling. So, if you want to learn how to wow people with stories, I'm your man. Other than that, I know how to make a kick ass cappuccino!

I would like to learn so many things. I would really like to learn many of the languages of the world. I would like to learn how to play an instrument like the guitar, piano, or violin. I would like to learn how to cook.

I can only share what you are interested in knowing. I'm not sure about what that might be, but I promise I will try my best.
