Über mich

Hi there! I'm little Sergio, currently with a Working Holiday Visa in Sweden and at the same time traveling around Europe with my girlfriend Vero.

CURRENT MISSION

My mission would be to get to learn as much as I can about this beautiful existence. I've come to realize that when you stop learning, you start to close your mind, and traveling is one of the most exciting ways to learn cool stuff!

ABOUT ME

I used to live in Buenos Aires, around 1 hr away from downtown, in a city called Castelar. I play bass and guitar, love futbol and travelling. I left BA in 2013 and since then started traveling, only settling down for some time in Uruguay, Germany and temporarily in different places like Ecuador and Spain.

PHILOSOPHY

Made out of energy and matter, just like you, just like this desk or that tree over there. And that would be the starting point nowadays for me, as that makes me want to be in eternal expansion, growing and learning, allowing me to use that knowledge to do my very best at being a human being. I try to be a positive energy in every possible way, love messing around, taking it easy, joking. It is my belief that laughter and art can save us all, mainly from ourselves.

I try to express myself in any way I can. I like my life bright, laughy, clean, translucent, true and cheerful, and in opposition, I enjoy dark, creepy and bizarre art. I think that duality is the best way to stay sane

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined CS because I found it was a great way to finally move forward and begin my traveling adventures. Nowadays, besides being way cheaper, for me it's very important as it helps you get in touch with local people, who are the ones that deeply experience their land everyday and their lifestyle. For me, CS and workaway have been some of the most useful tools i've found in this modern technocracy. Not to mention that this semi-nomadic soul has discovered some REALLY good friends here, people who touched my heart and that I try to visit whenever I'm around.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to host people ever, cause I've never had a place of my own yet. Always living in hostels, working places or communities... but I'm surely looking forward to hosting people back when the time comes, and help other travelers around the globe wherever and whenever I get to settle.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

This would be a neverending list... I'm a passionate film, book and music lover! However I must say that I try to avoid anything that is too mainstream, extremely Hollywoodishy films, soulless books and most modern-artificial-complacent music. I have the tendency to go back in time to looks for the roots of things rather than go forward, along with the stream, and I often try to ask myself with which intention was this or that 'piece of art' created.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Travelled around South America and Europe, met people, found the coolest places, played music, been bitten by a dog, walked a lot, talked a lot, hitchhiked, slept under a bridge, was lucky enough, volunteered amongst different 'families'.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

We can share meditation, yoga and consciousness expansion thoughts. I've always been a self-learner, I enjoy finding out stuff on my own without structures. I try to go with the flow so not to get bored. Do a little bit of this, then learn a little bit of that and try to apply it, and maybe learning a bit more of the first thing, and then if I find something that I think it's worth knowing for someone else, I try to share it. However, not everyone is willing to listen to certain things or teachings, and that's always ok. No imposing. Free will is always there, and once you understand that, you get the basics for being a tolerant person, and along with tolerance comes happiness.
Learning is a way of living, and you can learn something from anyone or anything.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I travel along with my girlfriend Vero, and we are both a quiet, respectful couple. As guests we can gladly cook something, share our travel experiences with coffee, tea, beer, wine or fernet, We also love playing games, be that board games, card games or video games. We also play music together (no pros, though!), so if you have a guitar around we might borrow it for a while. Mostly, we love going out into the nature, exploring, walking or just chilling out by rivers, seas, parks, etc. We are passionate about films and books as well, and always looking for new ideas in this regard.
