Travel - it's a way of life.

And during my travels.. reading many books at once, lying on the grass watching the sky, looking for Nemo while scuba diving, yoga, writing mostly nonsense, skiing, running, salsa and dancing in general, eating (yum!), hiking, riding rollercoasters, walking around unknown cities without a map, drinking tea, listening to music, streaking (jk)

音乐、电影和书籍

My three favorite books (to date - I never know what I'll come across in the next bookstore) are Le petit prince (Saint-Exupery), Zorba the Greek (Kazantzakis), and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Kundera). But there are many, many more that I love. I'm proud to be a bookworm - I always have a book with me, as well as a small tower of literature balancing on my night stand.

My iPod crams in everything from classical rock, through UK Top 40 (to accompany my runs), to a handful of chilled out artists like Thievery Corporation and Nightmares on Wax.

Movies... to be honest, I'd rather be reading! But one that always comes to mind is Pa-Ra-Da - a Pontecorvo film which tells the story of a French clown who sets out to help Romania's "sewer children." I also love Miyazaki's animated films.

Hiked a glacier in Calafate, Argentina.
Hung out with a family of gorillas in Rwanda.
Jumped out of an airplane over the Palm in Dubai.
Attended the Naked Man Festival near Okayama, Japan.

I can share plenty of travel stories and some thoughts on cultural sensitivity. And maybe provide rudimentary instruction on how to ride a bike or stay afloat in water... On a good day, I can teach you how to smile and laugh!

But I am rather incompetent in all "practical" matters, so would love to learn anything that requires the use of my hands from cooking to playing the guitar (currently in progress) to doing handicrafts..
