ABOUT ME

Hello couch surfers! We are Ben and Laurie, a young married couple that has lived in Chicago for the past few years (before that, it was Kentucky, Ohio, and Virginia). We are friendly, easy-going people that love to meet new people and learn about their lifestyles. We enjoy going out for dinner, drinks, and exploring the city, and we'd love to help you explore Chicago as well!

We are here to meet new people, share our extra bedroom, and surf some couches of our own.

We love traveling, exploring (whether it's far away or here in Chicago), eating, board games, animals and meeting new people. Laurie is a vegetarian and Ben is a meat-eater - we're understanding of other people's preferences.

Laurie loves books and will read pretty much anything. Favorites include The Hunger Games, Oryx and Crake and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Some of our favorite shows are Arrested Development, Flight of the Conchords, Mad Men and The Amazing Race. We like all kinds of music and, having grown up in Kentucky, will even admit to a fondness for country.
