ABOUT ME
I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Finance. My favorite semester, however, was not spent in Chicago: it was spent studying abroad in Prague.
I moved out to San Francisco after I graduated in 2011 and currently work in audit at a public accounting firm.
In all that I do, I constantly try to learn something new. While traditional studying and reading is great, nothing can replicate what you learn while traveling and being placed outside your "comfort zone".
PHILOSOPHY
Less is more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only officially couch surfed while I was in Ukraine. I surfed on two different couches and it was such a great experience to get insight from a local. I also met up with a surfer in Ljubljana, Slovenia to grab a drink. The fellow was also very helpful. I have had nothing but great experiences, and I hope that trend continues.
Interests
Consumer electronics: I am really interested in technology and all the ways it can improve our lives.
Art: I really enjoy European Art from the mid slash late 1800s to about the 1920s. Artists like Cezanne, Van Gogh, Chagall are my favorites.
Minimalism: I try to minimize the possessions in my life. It is easier to travel when you have less things cluttering your life.
Bicycling: Riding a bike is very empowering as it is a method of transportation entirely powered by you!

Music, Movies, and Books
When I was at the movie theater the other day, every employee had a name tag with his or her favorite movie. I saw one that had Tropic Thunder; I agree.
The Beatles may be the best, but there are a lot of great artists out there. I rarely find a song I cannot enjoy.
Anything by Kurt Vonnegut for fiction. 1984 is another favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited Chernobyl and made it out alive! I took some pretty detailed notes and many pictures during my visit. I'd be happy to share if you're interested.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a bit of francais, so I could teach you that!
