About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Without love there is no beauty. Without beauty there is no love.

ABOUT ME

I'm a young woman filling in the shoes of a lady.

I am learning more about myself everyday to grow and change to what I believe to be true in my heart. Change is a good thing; very good, in fact.

I love understanding diversity and culture throughout the world... anthropology awakens my soul because people fascinate me.

I love Europe and often wish that I was a European.

I dream of traveling the globe. Life is an adventure that I'm willing to explore.

I have a twin brother who calls me Cookie.

PHILOSOPHY

Without change, there is no growth. Without love, there is no beauty. Beauty is everywhere and within everyone.

I am searching for what I believe to be true in my heart. I have studied lots of other religions (Islam, Buddhism, Native American practices, some African), and I think that each one is lovely and unique.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend of mine recommended couchsurfing to me. So, I thought that I would sign up and try it out. I'm here to see what's up and possibly meet some new and interesting people, should the event arise. That would be really cool.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

FREAKING AMAZING!!!!

Nearly a week and a half after signing up for CS, I received a message from another CS-er, Chris. He was visiting his relatives in the town next to mine for the holidays. We met for an hour at one of my favorite cafes (Noble Tea & Coffee) for an Americano and hot chocolate, and our conversation was really positive. The next day, which happened to be New Years Eve, Chris called me up and asked about my plans for the night. I had nothing special planned so we went to the best hookah bar in Indy (Egyptian Cafe) and stayed until 3:30am! Before Chris went back home to New York, we met up again for a beer at one of my favorite microbreweries, Barley Island. Chris left me with a great first impression of CS!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I am pretty much movie retarded, meaning I don't see them that often, but my favorite is definitely Moulin Rouge.

Music: I love all types of music. Rock, Hip-hop, Jazz, Pop, Arabian, Indian, Classical, P-Opera (like Josh Groban), French, just about anything...

Books: At the moment, school books inundate my time, but I am a fan of Antigone (from Oedipus Rex), Steinbeck, Harry Potter, Jared Diamond, Cyrano de Bergerac, Emma's War, and nearly any kind of ethnography. I like to read stuff about religion, philosphy, women's issues, and other anthropological issues.

Teach, Learn, Share

People and culture fascinate me. I have an insatiable curiosity to learn and discover more about the world and the magnificent people living on it!
