ABOUT ME

Hi everyone, my name is Katie! (:

I was born and raised for 1/2 of my life (~10years) in Seoul, Korea but I moved to Canada for about 1/2 a year, and then I've lived in the US ever since then (~10years)! [I'm 20 so I've lived in both my homes for exactly a decade of my life, :D ]

I'm currently studying biological sciences! I think biology is so fascinating~

I really really love to get to know people and what they think of the world. I'm very open minded and would love to meet and talk to anyone :D

I really really want to make friends anywhere and everywhere!

And Carpe Diem! Honestly. The time that ticks by will never come back, why not see the world and enjoy it to the fullest?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I've only surfed, but I'd love to be a host one day! But I'm always down for a cup of coffee with a traveler. (:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to meet up with a new friend in Incheon through CS! And I also got to couchsurf in Donghae(Korea) and Kakogawa (Japan), which was awesome!! :D

It isn't much yet, but I've heard a lot of great things about couch surfing from my cousins who have couch surfed in Japan and Europe! :D It makes me really excited to get involved in this community!

Interests

I love music, both listening and playing music. I feel like music is the language of the soul that can't be explained in a spoken language.

Oh my goodness I'm a HUGGEEE FOODIE<3 I love love food. Especially Korean food.. Mexican food is amazing too.. so it Italian.. EVERYTHING IS GREAT<3 I love trying new fooooddd<3<3<3

I also loveeeee cute things!Including but not limited to dogs & cats, bows, and other adorable things

But no worries, I'm not all girly girl.. I love playing (more like attempting to play) sports likeee soccer, basketball, and maybe tennis(?) and just get a good work out like that!

I also enjoy taking pictures! I'm still a newbie when it comes to trying to figure out aperture and shutter speed, but I try my best >_<

I really like to get to know people and get different perspectives to life~

And I like trying new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch a lot of movies but I love all of Pixar & Disney! And Ghibli Studio & Miyazaki films. <3

I welcome all kinds of music~ but I guess I distance myself from metal& country.

I love love reading books! Mostly fiction adventure books. But recently I've been reading a lot of Mitch Albom. I really really like Tuesdays with Morrie and 5 People you Meet in Heaven.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the most amazing sunrise in Donghae last time I was visiting there. Hopefully I can put up a picture of it soon. It was SPECTACULAR <3

I also had the opportunity to backpack by myself in a foreign country (Japan) by myself for 10days in the summer of 2014 (:
