My life revolves around my friends, family, and my art projects. I love art, both consuming and creating. It’s what drives me. I am a queer, nonbinary trans person, (please refer to me with they/them pronouns), and being out about that gives me happiness and power, and I believe inspires others. So many of us spend most of our lives hiding parts of ourselves that we believe others will not accept, and it can be so freeing to finally express our true feelings and natures.

I am not religious, but I am a spiritual person. I love nature, and I identify as a witch. I have done and experienced quite a lot in this life, and I feel I have a lot to share. I am open-minded, but I firmly reject any sort of fascism, racism, sexism, etc. I will always protect those who I see as disadvantaged in this world; I will always defend them from the world’s bullies.

I have had varied career experiences: I've worked in restaurant, I've been a freelance model, I was a full-time student, and I currently work in retail. I have big dreams; I would love to write a book, I would love to start a podcast, but so far I'm just on the journey toward those goals. Mostly right now I am just concentrating on healing; I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, and on top of that, I finally acknowledged the anxiety and depression that's been like a millstone around my neck for many years. The topic of mental illness is far too stigmatized in this world; I want to open up, talk about this stuff. It's important. Our lives literally depend on it.

I do love my city, and I love my home and my people, but I also love to travel and meet new people. Some of my couchsurfing references use my deadname; just to be clear, my name is Blue, and I don’t like to see or hear my deadname, but I don’t want to delete old, good reviews.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was involved in the CS community a lot more back in 2008-2013, took sort of a break, but now I'm ready to get back into traveling, and I hope I'll be able to host again in the future. I really just love the philosophy of travel, sharing space and kindness, getting to know new people, and creating a web of connections around the globe.

Interests

My friends and I have a movie night every week, so I've seen quite a lot of movies lately, most of them "classic." Faves have been Desert Hearts and Yojimbo. Let's see, I love Hamilton the musical (even tho it is essentially settler-worship), play a lot of Overwatch and Stardew Valley, practice the tarot and witchcraft, and I'm super duper gay all day every daaaay. I also really, really like indian food. I can make really good traditional chai. Also I am really into ASMR for relaxation.
