About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make Art... spend time with family, make friends, find joy in every situation.

ABOUT ME

I am a mum of two girls, one 13 the other 28. I live with my youngest daughter. I currently work as an artist and educator. I think I'm pretty easy going, I entertain a lot and enjoy talking and sharing good food.
I also like to study and am currently studying towards a Master in Fine Art, specialising in Printmaking.

I'm not into lots of sports or extreme type experiences. But do love a bit of hiking, lots of swimming and exploring. I love exploring new places, people and generally I will try something at least once. I even ate a mussel once, never again - yuck...But I did it once.

PHILOSOPHY

Personal Philosophy... hmm, haven't really thought about it. But I suppose that I try to treat others as I would like to be treated, my life is full of friendships that are involved - not superficial, and I surround myself with people whom are positive, generous, kind, loyal and hope I am like them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was so excited to find out about this community as I am planning my first trip overseas, so many friends tried to get me to take tours but I want to meet the locals, learn language, experience culture shock,I want to get immersed in it all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now been couch surfing, from Paris, Nice, Vienna, Mestre, Budapest and all my experiences were amazing. Stayed longer with two families as they loved us and we them. Learned sooooo much and my daughter now has an experience she will never forget - nearly being arrested, having our money stolen, Bulgarian train for 19hrs, detained by border police, wonderful strangers who offered help, generous hosts who made us laugh and feel so much at home, good food and wine and conversations, amazing picnics and parks, swimming on beautiful beaches, sitting quietly in serene churches, hugs hello and sad farewells, amazing art and architecture... the list goes on.

In short WE LOVE COUCHSURFING!!!!

Interests

I am interested in art, reading music, entertainig, there are many nice beaches to visit locally and it has been our mission to find them all, I have friends around often to share good food and wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do love being on the coast, one of the most amazing times was swimming with wild dolphins at Curio Bay, they played so close to us that we could touch them and they were very interested in what we were up to. It was amazing.
