About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The two things that scare me most are travel and people. I like my experiences to be truly frightening.

ABOUT ME

I have a wicked sweet-tooth and I like adventure. I scour the earth for the tastiest chocolate and pastries. I'm from California and I went to Utah for college, mostly out of curiosity as to what Utah is like. Most recently I lived in Boston where I baked a lot of cookies, rode my bike, made lifelong friends, and drank good beer. Traveling scares the crap out of me, but I come down with a bad bout of wanderlust about once a year. Recently spent a month in Peru, and two months on a farm in Bavaria. Now I'm bumming around somewhere in Europe...

PHILOSOPHY

I like to keep it simple. I'm kind of a minimalist. I think food creates community, so I really like to cook and share. I don't care for "stuff" and don't often buy things that aren't food. I like to be outside, use my hands, and have good conversations. I feel homesick at home sometimes. I think that what matters most is who you surround yourself with and the relationships you create and sustain. Travelers are some of the most interesting people.

Interests

traveling, herbal/alternative medicine, anthropology, baking and cooking, jazz standards, playing the ukulele and piano, knitting, crocheting, bike riding, running, making kombucha, yoga, ballet, making medicine, exploring new cities, getting lost in the woods, thunder storms, sitting around at coffee shops, making things harder than they have to be, planning dinner, aromatherapy, drawing caricatures of people, reading, memorizing useless facts, teaching myself new crafts, lost civilizations, eating cookies

I most recently read "The Tracker" by Tom Brown, Jr. and now I'm working on a David Sedaris book. I like all kinds of reading, fiction and non- alike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thousands, maybe millions of bats covering the sky at dusk in Cambodia while riding a rented bike back into the city of Siem Reap after visiting Ankgor Wat. Like a scene from Indiana Jones. Brilliant.

You can do almost anything with baking soda and/or vinegar.
