About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling and enjoying life :)

ABOUT ME

I'm a very happy person and don't need much (especially when traveling). I love to laugh, so if there are any good jokes on your mind, please tell me!! My favorite thing in life is trying new things. I hate routine and boredom, so, no matter what it is - spontaneous road trips, lifeguard training, bungee jumping, party the hell out of the town, lasertag or whatsoever - I'm in :) I treat people with respect and expect them to respect me (as everybody and everything else) not for what I/they do but just like that. Respect includes for me honesty and a true interest in people (which is pretty much how I understand the basic idea of CS). I am a vegetarian and a passionate cook, so if there are any great recipes you know I'd love to know/try them ;) Decision making is my weak spot. It can take me literally hours to think something through and I still won't know what to do hahaha

PHILOSOPHY

You were born an original, don't die a copy!

Be good, be free, enjoy and harm as less as possible.

Never stop re-evaluating what you do and what you are. Well, and if you don't like what you see, change it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After my amazing trip in 2012 I'm back in Freiburg working on my PhD in biochemistry. All of my CS experiences were so unbelievably good and I really want to give back a bit of the kindness I received by hosting and showing around CS in Freiburg :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some great CS experiences in Perpignan, Madrid, New York, Windhoek, Swakopmund and Amsterdam. My hosts were so amazing, they really made feel at home! I learnt a lot about their culture and were so grateful for these opportunities.
During my stay in NYC I met lots of people at weekly meetings, visited museums and organized trips together, partied, met for language exchange etc. All in all, I had a great time, never felt really lonely and learnt just so much :)

Interests

As I mentioned above trying new things is actually my favorite hobby. But there still some things which made me feel so good about life that I decided they are worth being repeated :) So, I love photography and outdoor activities like hiking, swimming or climbing - preferably combined ;) Road trips are pretty cool but worth nothing without music!! And I'm interested in abstract arts, too, can literally spend hours in a museum..
