Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
so far have surfed a few times in the american west and canada..all have been great! Lately though we have received a lot of impersonal requests. If you are interested in staying with please write : "Welding Bikes" in your request or you will be denied. Looking forward to hosting some people wherever we land in the future. At the moment we can only accept guests on WEEKENDS and due to our busy schedules will only be occasionally hosting people. Very happy to meet up with international travelers for coffee and to share tips. Also happy to take people out to the peninsula.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies : Russian Ark, Withnail and I, The Mighty Boosh (cheating, i know), Lost in Translation, When we were Kings or any good documentary, Peter Jackson, and really thought provoking comedies
Books: Anything in City Lights bookshop
Music: Really just about anything. Grateful Dead and Flaming Lips roll off the tongue. Miles Davis, Art and Craft, Talking Heads....on and on..I also love podcasts ranging from Alan Watts to Buddhists and Daoist lectures to 'conspiracy' theories and even football gambling lines.
I have been on a V.S. Naipaul post colonial study lately..hmm maybe leaving one empire to live in the remnants of a fading one has tainted my world view? Any suggestions on books about Portugese explorers?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Manali-Leh on a motorbike...absolutely incredible. From the beautiful town of Keylong to 5600 meter passes to harsh sand dunes on top of the world. Simply stunning.
