ABOUT ME

Born in Nanjing, China and moved to Sydney, Australia when I was 7 years old. I grew up caught between the East and the West and I have a fascination with how people become who they are.

I am currently in the final year of an Arts (philosophy major)/Law degree at the University of Sydney. I am spending the next six months travelling Europe and studying in the autumn semester at the University of Copehagen, Denmark on an exchange program. This is the first time I have been to Europe and I don't want to just do all the touristy things, I want to meet and live with real locals.

I think deeply, speak earnestly and laugh loudly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am aiming to make the most of the CouchSurfing experience while travelling in Europe. I am aiming to move out with some friends in Sydney next year and hopefully will be able to host interesting people there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am yet to have a CouchSurfing Experience but hopefully will have many good ones over the next six months!

Movies: Stuff that's entertaining or thoughtful. Pulp Fiction, Dark Knight, Star Wars, Wall-E, Se7en, Shawshank Redemption, Love Actually, anything with Samuel L Jackson!

Music: I like a little bit of everything - dance, lounge, rock, pop, jazz, classical. Favourites are Muse, Radiohead, Queen and Michael Jackson

Books: Off the top of my head, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gulliver's Travels, The Count of Monte Cristo. I also love heroic fantasy - anything with David Gemmell or Raymond E Feist.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to share my outlook on life, one that focuses on experiences and friends rather than the collection of money and goods. I also want to share my enthusiasm and love of music.

I am happy to help my hosts practice English, as well as share some Aussie lingo and Chinese Mandarin.

I would love to learn about the native language, culture, ways of living/thinking and the people of the places I visit.
