I just finished my uni degree in Manchester and am now out into the world. I grew up in London and Bermuda. I have a hunger for travelling since covid has robbed me of many opportunities. Looking to meet new people in new places and get recommendations of where to explore. I love food and music and am open to trying anything. I love nature and yoga and am looking for many parks and trails or beaches for long walks. I am also interested in sustainability and what that means for different people. Coming out of an engineering degree and looking to the future of the planet, sustainable living is important to me and I believe it can be achieved in a variety or ways. I am also organised, tidy and laid back :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I have a desire to travel and meet new people and locals as I go. I find Couchsurfing such a valuable experience and much prefer it than solo traveling all alone. It’s an instant friend and guide along the way. I want to get out and see the world before I have to get a job and take life a bit more seriously. I want to find out what to value and prioritise in this life by meeting many different people and experiencing as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many different genres of music but a bit of techno, disco, house, funk, jazz, soul and I also like chill rap and R&B. I mostly just enjoy live music, if it is performed live it just hits different. I love live bands and singing it makes me feel alive and warms my heart.
I like movies like cloud atlas (this is a mind bending futuristic sci fi film across many different generations), I watch lots more TV series rather than films so I would love film recommendations. I have watched a lot of animation TV series like BoJack Horseman, Midnight Gospel and many more. Any animated TV I have probably watched.
I love the book 'normal people' (a romance novel) and 'a long petal of the sea' (a book about the Spanish civil war and migration to Chile and is about love and sacrifice).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before I travelled to Mexico I had my apprehensions and pre judgements thanks to the media and my worried parents. I think the amazing thing I have done is be completely open to new experiences and not afraid of people who are welcoming, caring and warm in a country that was completely new. This meant I had the trip of a lifetime and by trusting strangers with good intentions completely enriched and deepened my experience. A door of more authentic travel was opened and something that I will never forget or take for granted. These connections and experiences are what (so far in my humble young experience) life is about and what contributes to happiness and fulfilment. This may not be so profound or amazing but I just hope for more of this so that I can go on to grow into a kind person who can one day do one amazing thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help to teach english, I am very good at maths and can do some coding (not so fun). I would love to learn to play an instrument (I used to play a little bit of piano and want to learn guitar). I would love to cook and share recipes and get recommendations of local food. I love all food and have a big sweet tooth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge of England; London, Manchester, the country side. I have been all over the UK including Scotland, Edinburgh and the highlands. I also live in Bermuda so have lots of stories to tell of the Bermuda triangle ;)
My brother lives in Japan and I have been to visit him there.
I can share music, I love to sing and dance and am happy to help cook and clean.
