ABOUT ME

I escaped the madness of Boston in '90 for a vacation in AK, it stuck, I stayed. It feels like a working vacation because I love it here. It's taken a while but I finally own a slice of heaven out in McCarthy, in the Wrangell St. Elias range. I work backstage in the winter for the stagehand union and summers I work on my cabin and play in the wilds. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to be an itinerant couchsurfer but have since found my dream rental in downtown Anchorage. My rules were simple: keep your stuff to a minimum, do the dishes (big plus for a return), bring beer or wine, and try not to stay two weekends in a row.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've taught English in Krakow, Poland and Miryang, ROK; I was a bike courier in Boston and Glasgow, Scotland; lived in Paris for 3 months with no money at 18; crossed the US twice by van; and have finally built my dream home in McCarthy, AK (it's a 12'x32' cabin, the size of a single wide, but I love it!)
