About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Carpe diem

ABOUT ME

I'm someone who is not likely to write about himself at 2 of the morning in other language than his own first language.

PHILOSOPHY

I use to go through many revolutions of personal philosophy in cycles of a few months. Since some time, I'm trying to have my feelings under control and be reasonable all the time. Though, I've just acted without having thought enough.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really fond of the diversity of Brazilian music and like the big movements in it since the 60s. Namely, I love Bossa Nova, these songwritters of the called MPB, Chico Buarque (unique), the Tropicalia, Brazilian rock of the 70s and 80s like Raul Seixas, Legião, Cazuza and others. I also like Nordeste traditional music and even play in groups of maracatu, coco, ciranda, forro etc, which is obviusly an influence of my manguebeat experience.

I like Brazilian poetry. For foreign literature, I'm only discovering now some books written in French and English which are very interesting. Of those I've already read something, I love Poe's tales and poems, by whom was written what I consider the best poem ever written (The Raven); Tolkien; Shakespeare etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to teach everything I know since the others are interested in it because to live is to share. It's like in literature: even if the things related are not true, the author is sharing with the reader his experience of imagining what is written. So, I'm willing to learn everything I can with the people I know, so that they can also learn with me.
