I moved from Canada to the United States in fall 2019 to be with my partner. After a lengthy immigration process, I'm finally able to see other places! I've spent much of my life growing up and traveling around Western Canada and the United States. I'm eager to see more of the world with my group. I once traveled to Europe for a month after graduating from high school, but I'm still pretty green when it comes to worldly experience 😅

In terms of my interests, I'm an avid runner and hope to complete a full marathon by 2024. I used to do triathlons (though was a coward on the bike) and still enjoy swimming when I can find available facilities. I spend much of my professional and personal time working on programming/data skills so I can contribute to public health and climate science issues in the future. I do creative writing and play video games when I can, but there are just too many good selections for how much spare time I have (Elden Ring is still in my queue).

When off adventuring, I enjoy finding the best hiking spots and places to eat. There are very few dishes I haven't enjoyed, though, the diversity and potency of spices and cuisine from where I'm from are sorely lacking, so I'm open to being challenged!

I'd love to get to know all you fellow travelers out there! I do my best to be an ally and supporter of all different communities, identities, and human configurations. We only have so much time here and I believe meeting new people and seeing new places are some of the best ways to spend it.

I recently got my green card and can now officially travel outside of the United States! We're planning more international trips, especially during lulls in the demands of ongoing university classes. We're traveling to Sweden, France, and the UK in early-to-mid May 2023 for our first big trip. We’re attending the European Brass band competition in early May (my partner's the musically gifted one of us).

We hope to stay with friends and new contacts as we explore Europe. Part of the fun is looking for opportunities to meet new people, so hopefully we have a chance to meet if you're out that way!
