About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep on keepin` on

ABOUT ME

I am born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I have been across my own country and stood in front both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. I have seen my two closest neighbours by land, The United States and Mexico and have travelled by train around Western Europe.

September 2016 - I'm planning a visit to Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Laos, perhaps Cambodia and flying home from the Philippines.) in November this year.

PHILOSOPHY

Let us toast to animal pleasures, to escapism, to rain on the roof and instant coffee, to unemployment insurance and library cards, to absinthe and good-hearted landlords, to music and warm bodies and contraceptives... and to the "good life", whatever it is and wherever it happens to be.
- Hunter S. Thompson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to meet people on my travels, to better understand how my place in this world relates to that of others'. I enjoy hosting people in my own town from time to time. I have lived there all my life and am usually able to show them some pretty cool stuff.

I am always on the lookout for new music. If you have music to share, especially from your home area, I want to hear it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I`ve been on both sides of the couchsurfing experience and have yet to report a bad experience. I`ve met wondeful people and shared amazing stories.

Interests

Live music, guitar, literature, vegetarian, politics, liberalism, writing, dancing, hula hooping, stretching, cookies,

Music, Movies, and Books

Hunter S. Thompson changed the way I looked at the English Language. Michael Franti changed the way I thought about Music. I like movies. Bill Hicks defies all these catagories and was a true modern Shaman, sent here to heal our perecption of ourselves and our reality; Listen, read, learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stood in the middle of a field with 60,000 other people and watched as the clouds parted, making the stars shine as Pearl Jam played an epic set.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not enough of an expert in anything to consider myself qualified to give lessons on anything. I would love to jam on some guitar with new people who could teach me a lick or two from their country and I'll do my best to pass on some of my knowledge too. I could give a pretty in-depth oral history of the history of American blues/r&b/rock'n'roll/hip-hop. I would be happy to create and send mixes to whoever may be so inclined to desire one. (I plan on bringing some blank CDs with me to share music I love with new people.)

Countries I’ve Visited
