CURRENT MISSION
I can only choose one?
ABOUT ME
There seems to be a serious lack of high-quality people in Amsterdam. /the World.
I find most people disappointing; it's sad to admit. But it's true. The silver lining is that I genuinely appreciate the ones that stand out and go out of my way to be kind, supportive and considerate whenever possible. It's amazing what a little support can do for someone. So, I sometimes struggle between this weird duality of being apathetic and hopeful, interested and disengaged.
See, I'm naturally enthusiastic, no matter the activity, and like finding people that can get excited about anything, have fun and not get caught up in the bullshit that constantly surrounds us, whether its playing mind-games, getting lost in perceptions or being too-cool for something (i.e., sometimes getting into the fountain is appropriate, ok?).
PHILOSOPHY
I try to take a 'Ferris Bueller' approach to everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to start hosting here in Amsterdam in hopes of building a network to hitchhike throughout Europe this summer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My flatmates host regularly but I need to start hosting and building a network :)

Shows: LOST, Arrested Development, Always Sunny, 30 Rock, House, Dexter, Firefly, The Daily Show and on..

Food: My dad was a chef and the primary cook growing up so I'm built to think that men cooking is the standard; people seem to find that strange. Oh well - cooking for people is one of my favorite things.

Music, Movies, and Books
My media taste is pretty standard fare for an American but I can be a little eclectic at times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the 18th and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.
