Overview
About Me
My husband Jake and I live in Austin, Texas and love meeting new people! Jake is a freelance videographer with Something Clever Productions & Nomadic-Gear.com, and I work at a hotel downtown. We love to travel, learn new languages, listen to good music, and jam out on our guitar/banjo/mandolin. We moved quite recently so we're still working on furniture, so technically we don't have a couch, but we DO have a floor and a bunch of blankets. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To travel on a budget and meet awesome people at the same time, and to show those awesome people our awesome city :)
Interests
Traveling. Duh. Learning languages, playing instruments of different sorts, having meaningful conversations, laughing, and Jake loves corduroy. Seriously. He doesn't own a pair of jeans.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jake loves Neil Young, Mos Def, and Clint Eastwood. He enjoys reading about Native Americans and ways of life. Some of my personal favorites are The Shins, Broken Bells, Yelle, alt-J, War on Drugs, and the list goes on and on. We know Nacho Libre and Hot Rod backwards and forwards. I highly recommend The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and anything by Malcolm Gladwell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jake and I eloped back in July 2014. Most wonderful and amazing thing by far :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
We usually come as a pair, are very clean, and very respectful of your personal space. We love the local feel on a trip and are always welcoming to company, but don't feel that we need to be babysat; as much or as little as you're willing to put in is just perfect :)
