To see as much of the world as possible!
ABOUT ME
Currently finishing my degree at Edinburgh University in the UK. Trying to travel as much as possible when overseas. Studied in Brisbane for a year and moving back in July - so the aim is to see as much of Europe while I am home!

PHILOSOPHY
'Just do it.'
I remember walking to catch a bus in Wellington in NZ, after a brilliant few days staying on a friends floor we caught the bus at 8.30am, the station was full of people walking towards me with suits on and that was the point when I realised I will always been a traveller. Walking into that crowd was the best feeling ever.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently at the final year of my studies in Edinburgh and therefore I am very busy with work in term time therefore cannot host until the final exams are over.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Being a new surfer, the only real experience I have had with CS has been through other people who have had some great trips overseas with it.
Personally its a real encouragement the fact that you get a chance to meet someone who is from a place and can really share their pride for that place through CS.
Intereses
Travelling really is my main interest and doing the things along the way, be it a skydive in NZ, white water rafting in Aussy or being a foodie in Malaysia.
I am a business student and my main focus in the area is not finance or the accounts side of it all, its the voluntary sector and how we can link profit and not-for-profit etc, really interested in the whole development side of things.

....worked on a Crocodile Farm Down Under!
Taking a nice big risk when arrived in Vanuatu on the island of Tanna. Travelling with a great friend we hoped in a pick up truck with our backpacks on and the driver informed us of a festival that was occuring. I had previously read a book about the islands by a comedy travel writter, and the festival happens only 4 years when the chief of the island decides.
The festival runs for three days. The first day there dance competitions between the women of local tribes (many of whom still embraced cannibalism until the 70s). On the second day it was the mens turn to dance. But the third is the dance "finals" if you may. The day takes an interesting turn after the feast and slaughter of the pigs when the men and women dance together - with women being thrown in the air and who ever catches them is allowed to go the bushes and do as they may...
We were the only white people there. The tribes calls and dances were mad and full of energy.
One of the many moments you get when your a traveller and you love being alive.
