ABOUT ME

I hail from Montana in the USA and have since moved to New Zealand for work and play . I keep a smile and a laugh close at hand, and try to embody midwest USA hospitality. By day I work in the hospital/clinic and when I have time off you'll find me outside seeking adventure in a kayak amongst whitewater, climbing rock, or skiing mtns. I host simply because it's a blast to meet new people from all over the world and when traveling I find the greatest generosity from hosts. Check the rest of my profile to find out more about me!

Interests

My first love will always be whitewater kayaking and have been all over the world paddling class IV/V. I rock climb and love multi-pitch trad and have dabbled in big wall ascents. By winter you'll find me earning my turns backcountry skiing. When I'm not out adventuring, I love music and am a local songwriter and still to perform as a street musician. I could go on and on... but it's a big world and I try to sample as much of it as I can!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I see amazing things every day. I love my job and viewing breadth of humanity. But I find myself drawn to adventure. I live for whitewater whether it be the zeal of dropping a 40 ft waterfall or smashing through a class V run. I seek the feeling of skis riding a cold smoke cloud of powder descending the silent steeps of an alpine winter. I cannot forget sleeping 1000 ft off the ground while ascending Moonlight Buttress in Zion National Park, every day a exertional contemplation. I love a song sung to a passer by and watching music stop people dead in their tracks
