ABOUT ME

Hello everyone! I am a 24 year old working/traveling musician. I've spent the last 6 years of my life globe-trotting and meeting wonderful people along the way. I have an insatiable thirst for soaking up local culture, specific to music whenever possible. Detroit is my stomping ground, and I love my city. When home, and in an ideal living situation, I'm capable of hosting and if wanted showing the side of the city that doesn't get much press. I enjoy socializing, partying, playing music, and generally having a good time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because of my constant traveling, my living situation is usually a bit inconsistent. If I'm available, I'm available to host. Whether you just want a couch or want to hang out for however long, I'm available for both. While traveling, one of my biggest concerns and thoughts is proper respect for the host and their space. If someone is gracious enough to let me crash, I'm going to make sure it's nicer than when I arrived. I'm fully in tune with social customs and norms.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

An afternoon spent in a hilltop park in Madeira, Funchal. Funchal is an island of the coast of Morocco owned by Portugal. Quite possibly the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I spent the day with some fellow musicians I had recently met while working on a cruise ship. We had a phenomenal lunch, found some local beers for .90 euro at a local pub, and spent the afternoon laying around enjoying the absolutely breathtaking scenery, reflecting and conversing about how happy we were to be alive.

I've been a music teacher for the past 6 years, and a working musician for the past 12 or so. I play a slew of instruments, though my primary instrument is bass. I'm fully capable of helping anyone out with anything music related. In college I studied music theory/composition. I'm capable of giving pointers, if nothing else, on bass, guitar, drums, piano, banjo, violin, cello, viola, mandolin, ukelele, and most anything with strings.
