ABOUT ME

Hey surfers!
I'm super-stoked about this site! I first got addicted to travelling when I went to Europe with my best friend in fall of 2004. Since then, I've travelled every chance I have gotten. I've had such great experiences meeting travellers from all over the world while staying in hostels, but I think it would make the travel experience much more special to meet people from where you are! Theres no substitute for local knowledge. I've hosted a bunch of travellers on my couch, then went on an epic 5 continent 14-month trip in 2010. After that trip, I decided to become a photographer and spent the next year learning the craft at the Western Academy of Photography. Now, I'm back on the road to build a portfolio while also feeding my addiction of travel

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted numerous travellers in Victoria when I was able to before hitting the road. I haven't actually surfed anyones couch yet, I've just hosted surfers! Looking to change this - especially in Myanmar, where accommodations are hard to come by. I think I've built up enough positive karma to get me a few couches and meet some cool people!

I read non-fiction books. I like to read up on history and politics. Sounds boring, but its interesting to me. Check out a book called "Vagabonding" if you can. It's a cool little guide to RTW travel
