I hitchhiked and worked around Europe for 7 years from the age of 18, doing lots of jobs from being bartender in Tenerife to a trawler fisherman in the Arctic ocean.
I have spent 15 years back in the UK working as a professional and was ready for a new adventure.
So I sold my belongings, packed a rucksack and bought a one way ticket to south america!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travel and new experiences, they are far more valuable than possessions to me. I prefer to interact more with people and cultures, hotels tend to be very socially sterile environments

Interested in meeting new people, places and understanding different cultures and mindsets. I also have a passion for the great outdoors and love nature, animals ( i have a weak spot for dogs!) walking and especially fishing.

I have a very eclectic collection of music and books but do not watch much TV, it is easy to lose your life within the big box in the room lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For most people that know me, they think it is amazing the amount of traveling i have done and the experiences i have had. For me as a keen fisherman my greatest experience was catching a 450lb black marlin off the great barrier reef in Australia a few years ago and then releasing it again.
