ABOUT ME

60 yr young couple who enjoy the world. Patricia (Pat) and I have been married for 7 yrs. We love to travel and meet friends everywhere. Pat is quiet but easy going and friendly. We're getting ready to officially retire in a couple of years (this working for a living is interfering with what I really want to do with my life.)

PHILOSOPHY

I never heard of anyone on their death bed saying "I wish I hadn't done so much with my life."

Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experiences to savor, not to endure. I'm trying to recognize these moments now and cherish them.

"Someday" and "one of these days" are losing their grip on my vocabulary.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music= my personal favorite is probably "New Age" but I also enjoy Jazz, oldies rock, country, reggae, classical (traditional and pops)and easy listening acoustical.
Books= international intrigue, good sci-fi and philosophy. Pat likes Mystery.
Movies= Action/adventure. I also like "chick flicks" but I can only take so much, I get too emotional.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived/traveled extensively throughout much of Europe. Italy,Switzerland,France,Germany, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Czechoslovakia, Poland,Yugoslavia,Turkey, Greece,GB, Netherlands. Visited other places
Volunteered Dental service in several under-served places.
Skied and para-glided the Alps, Dived the barrier reefs of Australia and Belize.
Backpacked the Bruce trail in Canada.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach and to learn. Ask me about practical things like electrical, electronic, mechanical, medical things. Also, philosophical things, cultural lessons that historically keep needing to be relearned. (Human beings,unique in their ability to learn from others, are most remarkable for their disinclination to do so.)
