Overview
About Me
I graduated from my University in December of 2012 with a degree in marine biology. I am pursuing a career in fisheries biology and management. I currently work in Alaska for 6-7 months of the year as an onboard commercial fisheries biologist. Although I enjoy playing with the fishies I also enjoy playing guitar and ukelele, singing and writing music, movies, reading, hiking, and wine. I just recently paid off my student loans and am now hoping to travel some more before I return to school to complete a Master's next year. I love meeting new people and exploring places from a locals eye. I currently live with my boyfriend of 6+ years who owns his own business in video productions.

Memoirs of a Geisha, Moonrise Kingdom, Moana (ha! the first three I thought of all start with "M"). I ready a lot of science nonfiction, women's fiction, humor.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My longest trip on a boat is 21 days in the Aleutian Islands.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My position as an observer/fisheries biologist places me in a very unique perspective when it comes to examining sustainability of our oceans. I can spend quite a while discussing this, but I am also someone of good humor who enjoys a genuine conversation with others. Gone will be the days of meaningless banter when you are in my company. If I have a ukulele or guitar I would be happy to share a tune or two with you.
