About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To expand and enhance my world by following that which truly inspires me
ABOUT ME
Describing myself seems strange. As if I am this fixed object. I have changed endless times since I have been on this planet and the second I describe myself as this I will probably change to that.
PHILOSOPHY
Be flexible, be kind, help others and don't sleep walk through life. Have fun and know that we are vastly connected to everything and every creature. Be forgiving of self and others as we are all doing our best in this show.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Most of my participation thus far has been on the coattails of my boyfriend Chris Kelly. When we were living in Malibu, he was the one who accepted the call to surf from our visitors. We hosted many wonderful people in our sweet little apartment. Since we moved to Hawaii we have not had any couch surfing guests.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I have just surfed one couch one night. I took a trip up the coast of California on my motorcycle and stayed in Atascadero. It was wonderful riding through the hills and down the coast and back up again. I was grateful for the meal, the pillow, and the little gadget that was waved over my body to re-align my energies.
Interests
Living as fully in the present moment as possible. No easy task. If asked I would say I practice Buddhist principles but avoid the label of being a "Buddhist". The practice of mindfulness is endlessly facinating for me. I love riding my motorcycle solo and with my partner Chris. I am interested in making longer trips on my own. I have been inspired recently by Lois Price whose last solo trip was riding from London to Cape Town. Now that's inspiring. I love yoga, surfing, walking, running and generally being outdoors. I also love being slothful at times. I really enjoy meeting and reading about people who are living life off the mainstream track. I love how creative people can be with their lives when they choose to live intentionally with what inspires them. I feel a deep inspiration and longing to continually move in that direction. As much as life interests me, death also interests me, hence my work with hospice. It has been an honor to sit with people as they navigate through the end stages of their time on earth. I have learned so much from them and if I am lucky I will continue to share in that experience as long as I am on this earth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are sooo many amazing things I have done and seen, but one very special one was shen I got a job on a boat that was sailing from Greece to Sudan where I ended up spending several months. I fell in love with the South Sudanese people and my perception of life was forever changed. I ended up working as a dive guide in the Red Sea for a short period of time and spent over a year in Egypt. I met so many interesting people. I am so grateful I was able to have this experience.
