Overview
About Me
I am a high school student who recently graduated and wish to travel for around 2 weeks in Japan. I think I am a friendly person with a strong emphasis on cleanness and not bothering others. I am always happy to have a great time with people I've just met and I'm very excited to see where my travels will take me! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couch surfing because I think there is an element of kindness and personal interaction you just don't get staying in a hotel/hostel. Also, couch surfing allows one to gain a better insight into the local people, culture and living habits of the local area. I am just drawn by the idea of open, trusting kindness and love of hosts and travelers alike.
Interests
MANY!!! Haha, I think aside from travelling, which I've only just began to do, I am into western philosophy and classical literature. I am a big fan of good coffee and cafes (Melbourne is the best!). I also teach and do a lot of yoga in my spare time as well as occasionally meditating at my local Buddhist center. I like to talk about social, political, philosophical and economical issues that affect the 21 th century. I think my greatest interest is practicing my social skills and finding out the fascinating lives individuals live all across the world. I work out and lift weights a fair bit as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music includes operatic singers like Andrea Bocelli, and Jazz. I am a big fan of John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, etc.
As for movies, it's been a while that a particular good movie spoke to me, but Samsara was a good cinematic film.
I read a lot of books. Mainly philosophical books by Nietzsche, Plato, Michel Foucault. I'm a little guilty of reading a lot of fan fiction online :P Books like Brave New World and 1984 which examines the philosophical basis of political and social organisation also interests me immensely.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking through the largest graveyard in Japan up on the mountains at night by myself, guided by nothing but lit Buddhist lanterns.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences in Melbourne, Australia, reciprocal hosting here in Melbourne with my hosts. I can also share my biting insight into the nature of politics, economics and philosophy in the current world order :P. I think in reality the only thing I can offer is my story and a good time with new people.
