ABOUT ME

I am currently helping a friend start up an urban organic aquaponics farm and a farm/garden education nonprofit called Schoolyard Gardens, in Central NY. I used to work seasonal jobs, which allowed me to travel a bunch, but now I enjoying being in one place for a while. I am always looking to meet new, interesting people, both in the area and from out of town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be more than happy to help people out, meet up, and show them around the area. Although there isn't a lot going on here, it is a beautiful area. I have also lived and traveled throughout many parts of the US and the world, particularly New England states. I love to share stories about cool places to go. After years of "traveling" and "meet up for coffee or a drink", I can finally HOST!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Went on several cross country road trips, as well as traveling internationally, spending many a night on couches. Not only is it great to have a comfy/dry place to sleep, but more importantly hearing stories and sharing company. I would also highly recommend Wwoofing, if you are into farming. Its alot like couch surfing, except you help out a few hours a day, in exchange for some food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering on a turtle reserve in Costa Rica. Seeing huge Leatherback sea turtles on the beach is something I will never forget.
Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef.
9 day canoe trip in the Florida Everglades.
