Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First up I do the CS thing for a cultural exchange. If you're a band looking for a crash for the night don't bother. I am into new contacts from international locations- It is rare that I host US surfers.
90% of the surfers I host are from overseas locations.
My sister Barbara introduced me to Couchsurfing.-- she's 78 and a Couchsurfing Ambassador.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*Handled and photographed a 50 million dollar original Picasso painting.
*Been up the Niger River Delta in a small boat.
*Got to know Femi Kuti at the New Africa Shrine in Lagos, Nigeria before a Sunday Jump.
*Walked on the frozen Arctic Ocean in Barrow, Alaska.
*Photographed Alice Cooper for a magazine cover.
*Slept in huts with villagers in the Omo Valley, Ethiopia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Pro photog with over 30 years experience shooting almost all types of work and am happy to share my knowledge with the CS community. If you are cruising through Arizona I can probably help you out with some inside info about the hidden places.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to jump in and help with whatever the host might need a hand with. Isn't that what CS is all about? The day-to-day stuff is always boring for the host but can be a learning experience for the guest. It also tends to strengthen a friendship between new friends.
