I'm an energetic person when I find something that interests me. I can get quite carried away in a good sense, emersing myself in things that are new and interesting to me. I'm always keen on learning, in a broad sense: from academic subjects to the everyday stuff.
I hold strong convictions but I always try to keep an open mind.
Whenever someone asks me for help, I tend to have a yes right on the tip of my tongue, even in circumstance where my help isn't worth a lot.
Because I love learning new things, I tend to like people who have the same stance towards discovery and looking at the world with eyes that want nothing more but to understand all that's going on.

PHILOSOPHY
In my Philosophy I tend to be the classical liberal, I love to see people being free to explore their path in life, working together with other individuals on a voluntary basis with mutual respect. I hold utmost respect for those who boldly try new things, even if they fail miserably.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to say that I was born too late when talking about music. I wish I were there when Roger Waters performed The Wall live in Berlin. Or when the Beatles held their Concert on the roof. I love watching the DVD of Bob Dylan's 30th anniversary concert. My taste in music is classic rock. But to know more, check my last.fm (username bobvdv)

My favourite movie is '12 angry men', though I also like the more 'no brains needed' romantic comedies or action movies. As I'm quite interested in history, I also like movies with historical relevance.

I'm not a big reader, most of the books I read are non fiction.
