About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking life as it comes.

ABOUT ME

I live in Tijuana and study film in San Diego, the commute isn't as long as you would think. I love traveling and meeting new people from all walks of life; I feel that the soul grows as you get to know other folks and places because you get to know your true self as well.

PHILOSOPHY

I am relatively young to have my own concise philosophy but if it's going to be one, it'll be Bill Hick's "Life is just a ride" monologue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMUiwTubYu0

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can and sometimes use the site to travel. I mostly use Couchsurfing to meet cool, interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive had memorable experiences through Couchsurfing. Im part of a CS Community in Tijuana that we meet every Thursday to hang out and share stories with each other. CS has also saved me several times from sleeping on the street when I ran out of money and met awesome people at the same time.

Interests

Directing, writing, editing, lighting, basically everything and anything about filmmaking interests me. I am also interested in all kinds of music, from rock, rap, ska, folk, electronic swing, and so on and so fourth.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A Clockwork Orange. Oldboy. Fight Club (I just broke the first rule). Lord of the Rings. Star Wars. V for Vendetta. Pulp Fiction. Spirited Away. Y Tu Mama Tambien. La Piel Que Habito. City of God. Amelie. The Royal Tenenbaums. Mad Max. And I could keep on going and going...

Books: The Road. Lord of the Flies. Just Kids. Aztec. In Cold Blood. A Series of Unfortunate Events (Childhood favorite). And more.

Shows: I don't watch T.V but I binge watch shows on Netflix such as Breaking Bad, That 70's Show, House of Cards, Mad Men, Louie, Firefly, etc. I'll add comedians to this list, why? Because I can: Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Louis C.K, Lenny Bruce, Bill Burr, Mitch Hedberg, Demetri Martin, and many more.

Music: Kanye West. The Doors. Queen. David Bowie. Arcade Fire. Neutral Milk Hotel. Franz Ferdinand. Anything by Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur, his solo work). Arctic Monkeys. Cafe Tacvba. The Rolling Stones. Pixies. Beck. Muse. Radiohead. Phoenix. Daft Punk. Oasis. The Libertines. The Strokes. LCD Soundsystem. The Specials. And this list could be never ending so I might as well stop while I can before I get carried away.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in Manialtepec at night, a bioluminescent lagoon in Oaxaca. One of the most surreal experiences Ive had, your body literally glows in the water and to add to it the sky was filled with stars and there was amazing thunder on the horizon.

Also, my Canadian friend ending in a dress after a wild night of going at the bars in San Cristobal de las Casas.
