Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Worked as an entrepreneur and serial founder, sold most of my companies, fulfilled my childhood dream: bought a 300 years old forestry house in the Black Forest - which I am now carefully renovating. Otherwise I am usually traveling with and living in my campervans (instagram.com/dinovan.de). If you are lucky you can catch me at home in Konstanz where I am happy to host couchsurfers.
ABOUT ME
Serial entrepreneur by profession and passion, pilot, photographer, reader, walker, runner and traveller by heart. I love to be in the woods.
PHILOSOPHY
Sometimes I can even surprise myself with the amount of optimism that I seem to have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Two couches, four beds ;)
And as a professional speaker in tourism industry I heavily promote Couchsurfing as the true way of travelling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only good ones so far. Lots of interesting guests, some became friends.
Please note that I expect you to at least read my profile. And right here I am telling you that I do not host travelers, who don't even bother filling out their own profile. Since I am receiving more than 1000 requests per year, I only answer those who at least use of my first name and don't completely copy and paste their requests to me and all my Couchsurfing neighbors.
If you are not willing to invest at least a few minutes in your own profile to give me a chance to find out who you are, then I am not willing to answer your request.
And no, it is not my job to help you safe money on your trip. If you are just looking for a free place to stay, then you don't unterstand the spirit of Couchsurfing - and you neither deserve my couch nor my answer to your request.
I am sad that I have to write this, because I am afraid that the spirit of Couchsurfing is about to get lost.
Interests
Travelling with not more than my backpack, flying, literature, play reading, the Lake Constance, Vienna, good wine.
I love to go on extended cycle tours, see www.cyclepeter.com for me experiences.
Music, Movies, and Books
French movies, baroque music, tons of books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once took my bicycle and cycled across the highest pass of the world (17000 ft, 5400m). Another time I cycled across Canada.
But the most amazing thing I have done is that I sold my companies and quit my jobs before I got stuck in the wheel of work.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learned mathematics and philosophy at university. But then wanted to do something else, went into business. Set up and a company and another, still running those. Since two years I have been stepping back from working that much, started to travel again.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will tell you the true story of my home town and I will be answering the question why Konstanz has got the world's largest statue of a prostitute. I might share a few drops of my whisky collection with you. I might take you for a scenic flight or for a swim in the lake. And I will ask you a lot of questions.
