Overview
About Me
I grew up in the countryside on the windy west coast of southern Norway. A childhood habit of beating rhythms on the dinner table was, by my parents, considered a musical talent and was naturally channeled into - drumming lessons? No, piano lessons. After studying music full-time for 6 years I realized music might not be my calling. However, I did not realize this until I had travelled 6000 miles to New York in an all-in attempt to climb the summit of jazz. However, as my career plans took a slide, life's fickle imagination placed somebody at my Brooklyn-door and now I live in Vancouver, Canada, with my beautiful wife of one year, Karly.
I have a passion for languages and everything words and enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new things.
Karly and I are avid travellers and use every opportunity to get out on the road.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We travel mostly to meet new people and experience the culture, more than just hitting the churches and the museums. I find the idea of couchsurfing a great way to do that. The one time we couchsurfed in the past was a great experience, leaving us with a desire to do it again.
Interests
Good music, literature, movies. Words. I collect words. Every quirky thing that makes life more interesting. I am very fond of mama earth, being in nature or at sea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting married. By far the most life changing thing that has happened to me, besides being born. And nothing has made me grow up faster. You realize what a world-class jerk you are and then you work at it, while being loved through it all. Quite amazing when it works.
