About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel a lot and enjoy student lifestyle as much as possible, and get shit done inbetween. ;)

ABOUT ME

My name is Bernhard and I grew up in the countryside of Austria.
4 years ago, I moved to Vienna to study pharmacy.

The city life (especially in the evening) is pretty amazing and the people from the student dorm are just crazy! From the first sight it can seem that I'm rather shy (I hate this character trait!!) but sometimes, all I need is a little kick in the ass. I would describe myself as an unbeatable daydreamer and open-minded and helpful guy who try to make the best of every situation.

Since my university studies don't always leave me as much leisure time as I would like to have, I use every free minute to enjoy my youth in full trains before the serious side of life begins.

I˜m just looking for the best moments of my life and use every day to satisfy my curiosity, to experience new things, to jump in at the deep end, to challenge myself, to experience the extraordinary and to get to know other awesome people to strike up new friendships.

Well, I want to experience exactly that kind of adventures that will give me memories which I'll tell my grandchildren over and over some day.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't panic,
Hakuna Matata!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

FIRST COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend of mine and me visited Jan in Berlin in April 2013, it was my first couchsurfing-experience! We arrived in the afternoon and Jan picked us up from the train station with his car (he got a parking ticket because of us). We got on very well right from the beginning because of his very pleasant and courteous nature. Jans driving skills are incredible, he knows the city like the back of his hand and he is able to maneuver his car into the narrowest of parking space! His city tours by car in the night were awesome!

Jan was a marvellous host, very kind and accommodating, he provided us very helpful tips on the best places to visit in Berlin. Jan also organised to us tourist maps with the sights of the city and other useful information. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to go with us because he had to work during the day but in the evenings, he cooked for us, we drank beer an wine with a nice friend of Jan called Sebastian. We all had a great time together with nice food and a lot of very funny conversations about the German and Austrian dialects. Later, they showed us a few bars and smaller clubs, we really enjoyed our time with Jan in Berlin!
