Hey! My name is Bogdan. This is my new profile. I've been travelling a lot for the last 10 years.
I've visited 72 countries around the world and spent about 7 years abroad travelling, living, working, surfing and hosting people.

I adore exploring the world and people around the globe.

Now I work in an IT company, teach English, climb indoor and outdoor, ride horses, play chess, act in theatre and take pictures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been an active member on Couchsurfing since 2011. And I think that idea of this global community is great. People share their hospitality and kindness, they help travellers to understand and discover local culture and enjoy travels. When you come back home you want to pay back and treat strangers like you've been treated or even more. That is pure exchange of love and care. I really admire that idea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- visited 72 countries so far.
- hitchhiked for more than 150,000 km (more than 2000 cars, 25 motorcycles, 12 boats, 1 airplane)
- spent a month in the Arctic and saw polar bears in the wild. Flew north for six hours by helicopter from the nearest town on the Arctic Circle.
- completed an Annapurna Circuit trek in Nepal.
- played away all the money in a casino in Las Vegas.
- ate worms, goat entrails, dead bees, bear meat...
- climbed active volcanoes in Indonesia.
- filmed for Amazon advertising.
- survived in Indian trains.
- lived in: brothel in Canada; on a tea plantation in Sri Lanka; in a temple with monks in Laos; in an underground casino in California; in mosques around Asia.
- attended the Dalai Lama's last lecture and saw him personally.
- almost fell from rapture in the Grand Canyon, USA.
- was the 11th passenger of a five-seater car in Tajikistan at an altitude of 4000m.
- visited the city of Angkor in Cambodia at night and almost died there from a fever.
- climbed the Great Wall of China in an unpopular place.
- met the sunset in the city of Petra, Jordan.
- hitchhiked a cargo ship from Magadan and sailed on it for a week.
- fed wild sea turtles.
- engaged in canyoning in Oman.
- befriended a billionaire in Brunei.
- ...a lot of other amazing things happened to me)
