ABOUT ME

well now, me?
I'm a pretty down-to-earth, no-nonsense, low-maintainence Aussie...
I have a great passion for a good road! My greatest joy and spiritual satisfaction comes from putting myself at the mercy of life and realising/remembering that when you trust it, it always leads you in the right direction...
i would say i have a nomadic spirit, which contradicts my otherwise very Taurean nature!!
I have drifted, hitch-hiked, fruit-picked and ambled my way around Australia, and pottered around europe... until 4 years ago when i was drawn to study midwifery
The undercurrent of my life is a desire to better understand truth and reality, an exploration of a great unified theory, and an appreciation of the fundamental interconnectedness of all things.. I would say though, that i pursue this in a fairly mellow and unobtrusive way!!
the Dream (between pottering a bit more around europe, central and south america, central asia, africa, random pacific islands, etc) is to build my own house on some patch of land, and establish a life of simplicity, self-sufficiency, harmony and community (ie, catch some babies between chopping wood and carrying water!)
If this all makes me sound over-wholesome and good..... be warned!!!
However, as a couch-guest, i endeavour to be respectful, considerate and genuine... i like to cook, and i am a merry dish-washer :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, my ability to offer a couch is limited, but im happy to meet random travelling people to welcome them to our country! Soon be travelling to Europe again and would love to meet/couchsurf with locals who can let me in on the secret beauties of their towns and countries :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience has so far not been through Couchsurfing.com, but more spontaneous and organic encounters... I have surfed long-term with friends met travelling, and felt that i have become part of their community; I have hitched lifts that turned into a couchsurf and a new friend; I have hosted (as a sharehouser) up to 12 travellers in a 3 bedroom house (and survived!) ; I have hosted from my campervan!
