About Me

Hello!

My name is Linus. I come from the south of Sweden but I now live in Dalarna. Just recently moved from Idre to Falun.
As a person I'm very easy going. I love to laugh, make new friends and have interesting conversations. People call my company pleasant and relaxed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see it as a great way to meet people and as a fantastic opportunity to practice reciprocity and compassion and not just use them as fancy words.

Interests

I have lots of different interests. The one that kind of dominates my life currently is sports, first and foremost orienteering and x-country skiing and I am at a level where I train very much and that makes spare time something very rare for me.
I do really like music. This manifests itself by my attempts to create music through the guitar and also a few years ago learning to play some traditionol melodies from Sweden on the violin. It might also be worth to know that I nourish a passion for great beer and if you stay at my couch you might get the chance to taste my homebrew :)

Music, Movies, and Books

In music I like extreme metal, progressive rock and folk music amongst many other genres. I am quite open minded when it comes to music and as long as it moves me in some way I tend to like it.
Three movies that are among my favourites are Easy Rider, Waking Life and Dunderklumpen.
Three great books are Aniara, The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and books on philsophy e.g. The Book by Alan Watts. Into to wild I have enjoyed both as a movie and a book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting in the ancient forest where I live, contemplating in the dark winter night as the aurora borealis lights up the sky.
