ABOUT ME

I used to live in Galway, and teach kids general circus skills, from juggling to trapeze. When I get a chance, I try and practice as much as I can, with friends around the town.
This year, I'm trying to learn as many things as possible, i'm doing a theatre course, hopefully starting yoga and mime classes shortly, and learning all the best ways to cook proper vegetarian.
Now i'm living in Rome, to do a full time circus course so that I can go home with loads of lovely new skills!!
I've moved onto Torino/Turin in the north of Italy where i'm now finishing my Corde Lisse training in the Flic Circus School.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can give people information about a place, show people around, host when I can. A cup of tea and a biscuit are always available! :) But I do prefer people who have references, and seem to be generally interested in what I do so that we can learn from each other.
I want to meet people from everywhere and experience a little the life in their country coz i prob wont' be able to visit everywhere in the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had the pleasure so far of hosting some very good people from Germany and Isreal. It was great to come back after a long day of rehearsals and find that my two German Surfers had cooked an amazing meal!! Trying to teach others juggling in my apartment at midnight led to bemused faces on everybody!!
Being hosted by great people, picnics on the edge of the Rhône, hiking in the mountains for two days!! Recording some songs in one host's studio.
Extensions of visits due to exploding iceland volcano.
People generosity and welcoming a last min stranded me in Paris.
Experiencing the welcoming of CS that i've met, and spending time with people who also share the same belief of sharing.

Interessi

I love speaking other languages, trying to understand how different languages change the way to see the world, mainly because of grammatical structure..
I love taking photographs, mainly of people being people, trying to catch that expression in a fleeting moment. I'm still trying to improve on this area, so far my still life is better.
I'm interested in dance and movement, and how our bodies can be controlled and moved in very exact and precise ways. How can we bring this to everyday things that we do, and how can we bring this to stage or performance.
Starting to immerse myself again in music and song...

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I decided that science was not the way i wanted to go, so after travelling and meeting new people, I took the decision to train in circus arts full time.

I have seen many beautiful moments in nature and life, sunrises, sunsets , camping in the mountains in spain kilometres from the nearest town during a rainbow festival.

Seeing my sister pregnant, and seeing the future and happiness in her eyes.

I can teach you the basics of the Irish Language... Táim in ann cupla focal Ghaeilge a muinúint.
Or I can teach you some juggling stuff, 3/4 balls, clubs, poi, some acrobalance, I usually have some equipment with me..
