ABOUT ME

I'm still waiting to see what I'm gonna be when I grow up. I've washed dishes, loaded trucks, cooked, catered, cut meat, delivered papers, worked with lumber, spent 10 years in the US Air Force working on jet fighters, rebuilt automotive parts, and now make paper and I'm damn tired of working. I want to be a lottery winner but I don't know the right numbers. I stay active but my six pack has turned into a keg. I love my wife and 3 kids dearly but am pretty hard on them because I always feel time is running out and I want them secure before I go.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is all and nothing at the same time. Don't sweat the small stuff. Keep your head up. Wear your heart on your sleeve and be proud of your emotions. Cry if you have too and yell if it makes you feel better. Don't take any crap, leave it behind!!!

Interests

Man, I'm a sports nut. Too old to play anymore without much much PAIN. I do have a great interest in getting old but what are all these aches about? I don't like to miss a movie and I have a dangerous affection for gambling. Travel is a blast and I like to people watch. But the most important thing is my family. They are my inspiration to keep filling my lungs. I'm a sucker for history and can't help to be interested in anything old. I despise politics but love to blabber my opinion on it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like I said, I like Movies, all kinds except all the cheesy horror flicks that seem to keep popping up all over the place. Sci-Fi, Adventure, Comedy, Drama etc. I think I like them all. Music is lube that keeps us slip-slidin away. I like just about all of it. I'm really hooked on Aerosmith, Eagles, most southern rock, etc. too many to name but I like it new and old. I am though not too keen on Techno. I read slow. I'm scared I will miss the author's point if I breeze over it. My wife on the other hand can put a 400 page novel to bed overnight. How does she do that? So I don't read too much. Still love it though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, being there when my kids were born is pretty damn amazing. Watching them take the first steps, hearing the first words, etc, etc etc and especially the first time they said, " I love you daddy" tears me up still.
I married my wife and that is still amazing!
I've climbed the tallest and one of the oldest pyramids in the world at Giza near Cairo, Egypt. I've met all the Nascar drivers, That was cool. I rafted on an underwater river in Belize, climbed a South Korean mountain to an amazing temple at the summit, coached little league baseball for ten years and a couple of years made a point of letting every kid on the team bat first and pitch in a game. That is amazing to watch the sparkle in thier eye when they get thier chance.
