Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to truly understand a place is through the eyes of the people who live there. As a traveler who loves history and local culture, I’ve realized that guidebooks and tours can only show so much — but conversations with locals bring a destination to life.

I want to move beyond just seeing landmarks. I want to learn about daily life, traditions, hidden gems, and the stories behind the places I visit. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to connect with open-minded people, share experiences, and hopefully build genuine friendships along the way.

Also, I really enjoy exchanging travel stories and cultural insights — whether I’m hosting or surfing. It makes traveling more meaningful, and I’m happy to give back by being a respectful, curious, and grateful guest.
